Idle distractions

During the last couple of weeks someone came into my life for a brief time, like a fresh sea breeze on a hot summers day. They brought a smile to my face and made me laugh with their wonderful sense of humour and quirky outlook on life. And then as quickly as she came, now she’s gone again, and I’m left with idle memories of the moments we talked; moments which were such pleasant distractions from days which had been dull and grey for a long while.

Perhaps the most important thing for me was the feelings she stirred inside. I thought I would never feel such things again, that such feelings had died when another left my life so long ago. Now I know that feelings never die, they just settle for a while inside of us waiting for the light of a special new day to grow again.

A time of winter inside my own heart has come to an end, and spring has begun. How fitting that it comes with the first days of spring to the place I call home.

He Padwanny,

It’s funny i allready thought your absence on the log had something to do with female company, i’m happy for you. If you feel better things like that will happen fortunately. Thats when my malefriends won’t get in touch with me either.
The thing is that i’m curious if we will meet eachother if we have as much to talk about as on your log, because then a whole lot of other things seems to play a role. In written contact it’s mostly words that do the communicating. Interesting to think about that, so Padwanna keep enjouying yourself and have a nice Queensday. Groetjes Pippi

Sounds nice. Too bad it didn’t last, but it sounds as if it gave you hope. And hope is a glorious thing to have.

Hi Pip,

Women are very perceptive about these things like this, so I’m not really surprised at all that you might have worked something out.

But this thing between me and the femal company (as you put it :) has had it’s time, and life is back to normal again. But it’s funny how a little ray of sunshine can light up a whole life!

Oh I’m sure we’d have lots to talk about you and I, since I know who you are now! :) But don’t worry, you’re secret identity is safe with me! If I see you again, I’ll say hi! :)

Take care and read you soon,

Hi Ann,

Really this wasn’t something that was ever going to be anything more than a fling thing. It was more one of those happy times that comes and goes but leaves a smile on your face for a long time afterwards.

I hope you’re doing well, and read you soon.

So padwanna, just out off curiosity what gave me away, blew my cover, because i thought i was rather discrete. Well if you know you don’t have to keep it a secret anymore because our common aqaintace probably told you? Maybe that means i can be a bit more open about certain things we will see. Today the first day to really enjoy the spring and as i told you the rokjes en blousjes dag is soon to come ( the day that woman start to wear skirts in the spring )
So are you going to sell some stuff on Queensday in the vondelpark.I used to have grat fun as a kid doing that, now i’m enjoying kids doing grazy acts a son of a friend of mine is flapping his orange painted ears for ten cents, on one leg for 15 cents. Every year he has a big audiance very funny. So enjoy yourself and talk to you soon.

Hi Pipp,

No I don’t think our mutual aquantance does know. It’s just that I have this really good memory for people and events, so with the clues that have have been dropping inadvertantly over the time you’ve been writing here, it was only a matter of time before I worked out who you were.

But then again, you can’t be really sure I do actually know who you are. I could be wrong! :) So if you want to keep your anonymity, feel free. It does make a really good talking point! :)

Yeah I’m not sure what I’m doing for Queensday yet, but hopefully the weather will be good and whatever we do it will be good fun! :)

Take care, and nice to hear from you.
