		<description>Makes you wonder why the hell these countries keep calling themselves free democracies. I live in The Netherlands right now, and this country at least has privacy laws that mean something. But I do wonder for how long. It&#039;s no secret that here they monitor your communications, but they do not keep historical records of anything, as the watchdog organisation ensures they are not kept. I&#039;ve seen this happen as a work place I wasn&#039;t was in was ordered to destroy personal records that violated the privacy laws. Unfortunately I do feel in the age of digital civilisation, privacy will become naught but a word in the online dictionaries. This is why encryption becomes so important. But that is another rant.
